How to Care for Your Head Guard

You may find many different opinions on the best way to clean your favourite Head Guard, but from our experience, keeping things simple is always best:

Do Not Machine Wash or Soak

Never place your Head Guard in a washing machine or fully soak it in water. Excess moisture may damage the outer material, inner foam padding, stitching, straps, and overall shape.

Wipe Clean After Every Use

Use a soft, slightly damp cloth to remove sweat, dirt, and surface marks after each training session. For deeper cleaning, use a small amount of mild soap mixed with water and wipe gently.

Always Air Dry

Allow your Head Guard to dry naturally in a cool, well-ventilated area. Do not use a tumble dryer, heater, hair dryer, or place it in direct sunlight, as excessive heat may damage the foam padding and outer covering.

Use Antibacterial Spray — Optional

A sports-equipment-safe antibacterial spray may be used occasionally to help control bacteria and unpleasant odours. Apply lightly and avoid saturating the material.

Avoid Bleach and Harsh Chemicals

Do not use bleach, alcohol-based cleaners, strong detergents, or abrasive products, as they may weaken the stitching, damage the surface, and reduce the lifespan of your Head Guard.
