How to Care for Your Chest Guard

Your Chest Guard is designed to provide reliable protection during training, sparring, and competition. Proper care helps maintain its protective performance, comfort, and durability. Follow these simple care instructions to keep your chest guard in excellent condition.

Do Not Machine Wash or Soak

Never place your Chest Guard in a washing machine or fully immerse it in water. Excess moisture can damage the outer material, impact-absorbing foam, stitching, straps, and overall structure of the protector.

Clean After Every Use

After each training session or competition, wipe your Chest Guard with a soft, slightly damp cloth to remove sweat, dirt, and surface marks. For deeper cleaning, use a mild soap solution and gently wipe the exterior. Avoid using excessive water.

Always Air Dry

Allow your Chest Guard to air dry naturally in a cool, well-ventilated area. Never use a tumble dryer, heater, hair dryer, or expose it to direct sunlight, as excessive heat may damage the protective foam, outer covering, and fastening system.

Use an Antibacterial Spray (Optional)

A sports equipment-safe antibacterial or deodorising spray may be used occasionally to help eliminate bacteria and reduce unpleasant odours. Apply lightly to the interior and allow the protector to dry completely before storing or using it again.

Avoid Bleach and Harsh Chemicals

Do not use bleach, alcohol-based cleaners, solvents, strong detergents, or abrasive cleaning products. These substances can damage the outer surface, weaken the stitching, reduce the effectiveness of the padding, and shorten the lifespan of your Chest Guard.

Store Properly

Store your Chest Guard in a clean, cool, and dry place after it is completely dry. Avoid leaving it inside a closed gym bag or damp environment for long periods, as this may cause mildew, unpleasant odours, and material deterioration.
